Our journey began in 2007 when Microimage transferred all its IPs related to broadcast, media and mobile technologies into a new venture, ‘Microimage Mobile Media’. Our primary focus was to further develop the product lines in our chosen domains of broadcast, media and digital convergence.
Spanning over 15+ years of existence, Microimage Mobile Media organically grew to power some of the leading radio and TV networks in Sri Lanka, Malaysia & Brunei. We were also instrumental in building DEWN – the World’s 1st GSM-based Early Warning Solution inspired by the backdrop of the deadly 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
In 2019, we partnered with ViewQwest in Singapore to custom design and develop the Vesta Smart Home platform that focuses on smart security for home and business life.
In 2022, we recognised the need to reimagine the ever-evolving digital landscape and rebranded the company to ‘Futura Tech Labs’. At the next pitstop, we established operations in Singapore to position ourselves for the global market whilst continuing to innovate in our chosen domains to create more future-ready products and solutions.

Some of the key awards include winning GSM Asia Mobile Innovation Award for the best application/content in 2006, GSM World Award Finalist & Commendation in 2007, BCS (British Computer Society) National Software Overall Award for 3 consecutive years along with 2 key awards from National Science Foundation with a grant from the President of Sri Lanka.
